Before you apply…
Our retreat experience is designed to serve entire family units because we know disability doesn’t just affect the person with the diagnosis. Retreat is carefully designed to serve people of all abilities and ages so that every member of your family finds a place of belonging and belovedness. A camper with a disability comes to Retreat accompanied by family members or friends, rather than coming alone. You’ll need to register every friend, family member, or caregiver who plans to attend Retreat in order to be eligible for selection.
Camper applications will be available from August 29 through September 12, 2024.
Applicants who complete the entire application and pay the full application deposit within the two-week window will be considered for attendance. Applicants will be notified if they have been offered at spot at Retreat or waitlisted on September 20, 2024. Heads up—submitting an application does not guarantee a spot at Retreat!

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Hope Heals Retreat is a weekend of respite, resourcing, and relaxation for families affected by disabilities. We holistically serve every member of a family unit, so we build our programming around the unique needs, abilities, and ages of every participant. Adults will enjoy times of worship, teaching, and small group conversation, while kids and teens dive into hours of fun and accessible recreation, arts and crafts, music, and adventure experiences. Kids age 3 and under will be cared for in the onsite nursery. In the evenings we’ll celebrate together at some amazing parties, eat a lot of good food, and—most importantly—build lifelong friendships with other campers and volunteers.
Each camper with a disability can opt to be paired with a Compassionate Companion (CC)—a new friend to serve as a helper, encourager, and buddy throughout the weekend. All children 8 and under (with or without disabilities) will also be paired with a CC, so camper parents and caregivers can rest easy and be fully present during their own programming.
-
Campers will arrive between 4 and 6 PM ET on Friday November 8. Retreat will wrap up by noon ET on Sunday, November 10.
